Town Hall Information
If you have a problem concerning “Town Planning” (building works project, plans, neighbourhood laws etc…..), you should go to the URBANISMO department (second floor in the new Town Hall at the “CLOT”).
My advice would be to send a mail asking an appointment with Pepe Gisbert:
pepa.gisbert@ajxabia.org. Unfortunately, she doesn’t speak English but I do so I could help in this matter.
The part of the Council that you might use more is the OAC + “help desk”, the office situated on top of the “Parking del Clot”. There, you will be able to ask for or renew your “padron”, to register legal documents, to apply for the “rubbish” discount etc. A few of the civil servants speak languages.

or just attend the office expecting a queue.
In the same part of the building, you will find the “CREAMA” department in case you need a “digital signature”.
As far as taxes (IBI, debts, cars etc….) are concerned, the place to go is the “oficina de recaudación” also called “Área Económica” in c/ Major (next to the municipal library). I personally always found Bartolome Valles a good and helpful interlocutor. You dial the general Town Hall number: 96 579 0500 and the ext 3021 or send a mail to bartolome.valles@ajxabia.org
You might need the “Social services”. (Don’t forget that their special “Radars” programme helps people in need) for home assistance.
– For municipal work and rubbish concerns, you can call or attend the “SERVICES DEPARTMENT” situated on the first floor in the high building of “Portal del Clot”. The Councillor is Kika Mata. Tel: 96 579 0500 ext: 3248. She manages in English, so a mail to her can be another possibility:
Underneath, there are the Police installations.
The Emergencies number is 112 but the local police number is 96 579 0081.
