Summer Noise Restrictions in Jávea/Xàbia
In response to resident complaints about the noise and vibrations from construction work and to maintain the quality of tourism, Xàbia’s mayor Rosa Cardona has issued new regulations limiting such activities during July and August.
From Monday, July 1st to Saturday, August 31st, any activity that generates significant noise or vibrations is restricted as follows:
- No noisy activities from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 8:00 PM to 9:00 AM the following morning.
- On Sundays and holidays (including Thursday, August 15th), all such activities are prohibited.
These restrictions apply to both public and private spaces, indoors and outdoors (including gardening equipment), except for emergency situations and municipal works.
The town hall may order an immediate halt to any works causing significant disturbance, and local police will monitor compliance and report violations. Non-compliance will result in sanctions according to current legal provisions. Adhering to these regulations will benefit the entire community by ensuring a more peaceful environment for residents and tourists alike.
